Classic Star-Lord by Mark Laming

I came across this neat little piece by an artist I never heard of before, Mark Laming.  He's been working professionally for a while and somehow escaped my notice!

I love, love, love this Star-Lord piece, which features the John Byrne version of the character, which I covered in this previous post on Marvel Preview #11.  He really nailed what is great about the costume, the character, and the Ship!

Here's another piece in full color.  I know kids who just saw the GoTG movie are saying, "that's not Star-Lord!".  Nuff Said.
